Privacy policy

The short version: this site is a set of static files. It has no database, no analytics and no cookies, so there is very little to write a policy about — but here's the full picture.

Last updated: October 28, 2026 · Applies to this demonstration website only

1. Who this notice covers

This policy describes the website you are currently reading, published under the name Gloamgarden. It is a static demonstration storefront built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It is not an operating retail business, it does not process orders, and it does not maintain a customer database.

Because the site is served as plain files, most of the usual data flows simply do not exist here. There is no account system, no shopping cart, no checkout, and no backend application storing submissions.

2. What we collect

Nothing is collected by this website through forms, accounts or tracking scripts. The pages load only from their own host: one stylesheet, two JavaScript files, and image files bundled with the site. No analytics platform, advertising pixel, session recorder, chat widget or social embed is included.

Server logs

If you view the site through a web host, that host may keep standard access logs — typically IP address, request time, requested file and browser user-agent — as part of normal operation and security. Those logs belong to whoever operates the hosting, not to this site's code, and their retention is set by that operator's own policies. This demo build does not read, combine or use such logs.

3. The contact form

The contact page contains a form that checks your entries in the browser. It is a front-end demonstration: it has no server endpoint, no email service, and no storage of any kind. When you submit it you will see a message saying plainly that your message was not sent. That is accurate.

  • What you type stays in your browser's memory and disappears when you navigate away or reload the page.
  • The site does not log, transmit, queue or retain form contents.
  • No confirmation email is generated, because no email is ever triggered.

If you want to contact a real person, the contact page lists the sample email and phone used for this build. Please note those are placeholders, not verified business contacts, as explained there.

4. Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies and writes nothing to localStorage or sessionStorage. There is no cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to. The only persistent state is anything your browser itself chooses to keep, such as a cached stylesheet, over which we have no control and from which no personal information can be reconstructed.

5. Third parties

No third-party content is loaded: no web fonts from external servers, no CDN-hosted scripts, no embedded videos, no map widgets, no payment SDKs, no remarketing tags. Typography falls back to fonts already installed on your device. That is also why the site renders correctly offline from a local folder.

If this build were ever connected to real services — for example an email provider or a payment processor — this notice would have to be rewritten before launch to describe those providers, what data they receive and under what agreements.

6. Your choices

Because no personal data is gathered by this website, there is no collected record to access, correct, export or delete. If you have interacted with the demo form, the content you typed exists only in your browser tab and can be cleared by resetting the form or leaving the page.

If you believe you have sent personal information to an address associated with this project, remember that the email and phone shown are sample placeholders created for a demonstration, not monitored business channels.

7. Children

The site is intended for adults arranging gifts. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect information at all through its own code. Products described in the catalog involve candles, open flame, glass and food allergens, and are not designed as toys.

8. Changes to this notice

If the site later gains features that involve data — a real order flow, newsletter signup, analytics — this policy will be replaced rather than quietly amended, and the "last updated" line at the top will change. The current version describes a static build and nothing more.

9. How to reach us

For questions about this notice, use the details published on the contact page. Those details are demonstration placeholders: they have not been registered or verified, and this page does not claim otherwise.

This document is a good-faith description of how the demo site behaves. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a policy reviewed by a lawyer for a real retail operation.
